Troy Sadowski

We hope you will join us on Sunday, April 28th, when former NFL player Troy Sadowski will be sharing his personal testimony in our morning service. Here’s a little about Troy in his own words:

I was born in Atlanta, GA in 1965. My Mom was an elementary school teacher, Dad (Bob) was in Sales. Dad played professional baseball for the Braves and Red Sox (2 Uncles- Ed & Ted played MLB also). I played sports while growing up; I played football, baseball and basketball. I knew at the age of 10 that I wanted to play sports on TV; I just didn’t know which sport it would be. I played all 3 sports through high school, but decided on football where I was named All Dekalb County & All State; and received over 60 offers from colleges & Universities across the country but signed a full athletic scholarship to play football at the University of Georgia in 1984. I was a 4 year starter at tight end, started 46 consecutive games, earning All SEC (1987 &1988) and All American Honors (1988). I recently named in Lindy’s Sports Magazine to Georgia’s All Time Football Team.

Was drafted 145th overall in the NFL Draft in 1989 by the Atlanta Falcons. I played a total of 10 seasons in the NFL for 6 teams (Atlanta, Kansas City, NY Jets, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh & Jacksonville). I was radically saved in 1997 when the Lord met me at a low point in life. I’m looking forward to sharing my (His) story that is used for God’s Glory.
